Additional Hours
$700/hour

Ideally these hours are decided when signing the contract - but if you decide later you need to add more hours that’s perfectly okay! My limit per day is 12 hours.

Second Photographer
$2000

Most weddings I can fully capture solo, but some timelines benefit from a second photographer. I select someone whose style complements mine, adding a unique perspective to your day. As your date nears, I’ll confirm who this will be and share their details. This price includes their travel.

Welcome Event Coverage
$1000

Portrait Session
$800

Two hour minimum required.

60-90 minute photo session documenting a bit more of your normal life. Maybe it’s at home with your pets, at your favorite park - or your family’s lake home. Either way these personal portraits are a great way to get to know me and get comfortable in front of the camera. I am located in Grand Rapids so a travel fee will incur unless timed when I am already in your area.

I also offer Fine Art Albums as well as prints and other products. These are all accessible through an online store that you gain access to once your photos are complete. I am happy to help assist in designing albums or talking you through the process. I do a sale every holiday season so I recommend waiting until then to order.

Full Galleries

I highly recommend that you look at full galleries of any photographer you are considering. It’s important to get an all around picture of the product you will be getting.

After photographing over 300 weddings in 15 years, I know each couple’s story is unique. Your wedding day reflects the people and experiences that shape your love. As your photographer, I will step back, letting your connection shine while I document each moment authentically. My approach is to be an attentive observer, capturing candid, heartfelt moments that reveal the true beauty of your day—not just how it looked, but how it felt.

I use both digital and film cameras, each as a unique tool to capture the best possible photo. Sometimes film is the right choice, other times digital, depending on the moment and light. My goal is for you to simply see beautiful, timeless images that reflect your day—without noticing which camera was used. I want your photos to feel unique, genuine, and true to how the day really looked. All film images are scanned professionally and delivered digitally amidst your other photos.

FAQs

How would you describe your approach?

I try to balance the art of photojournalism with beautiful portraiture. I strongly believe that wedding days are not photo shoots and that your day should not be crafted around taking pictures. My hope is that with light direction you will feel comfortable in front of the camera, but also like yourself. My hope is that you find meaning in your wedding photos immediately after - and in twenty years.

How many photos will I get in my package?

Typically you will get around 75 photos per every hour of coverage.
Short answer — plenty!

How long until I can see my photos?

Your photos will be available 8-10 weeks after your wedding. I personally sort through thousands of photos to choose your collection as well as edit every single one.

Do you take posed photos of family on the wedding day?

Of course! These are super important. The legacy of your family is very important to me. I also take a few posed and directed photos of you and your wedding party if desired.

Do you deliver black and white images?

Yes! While there is no predicting what exact percentage of your photos will be in black and white — I can tell you that I use this method of editing for three purposeful reasons.

One — the colors and tones in the photo are distracting to the moment happening or unflattering to a person’s natural skin tone. Example: purple uplighting during a reception or DJ green lasers during a first dance.

Two — if the image can have more impact removing the color allowing you to focus on the subject. Almost always if there is an image delivered to you in black and white - there will be a similar one delivered in color.

Three — If the photo was taken on black and white film.

How do I book my date with you?

When you book your wedding with me, you will send me a $2000 deposit. This deposit holds your spot and is non-refundable. The remaining balance will be paid a month before the wedding. You will also e-sign a contract as soon as I receive your verbal agreement.

Do you work with a specific shot list?

I find the beauty of wedding photography is in the surprise and the uniqueness of each event. With this in mind, I prefer not to work off of a specific shot list, but instead work together to recognize who is important and to generate a list of family formals as well as other important aspects of the day that need to be photographed.
