At the heart of my work is a genuine desire to build long-lasting relationships with families. The more I get to know you, your children, the more authentic and meaningful the photos will be. I believe in capturing your family's journey over time, documenting milestones and small moments that make your story unique. My goal is to be there for you year after year, creating beautiful memories with each session.
Currently, I’m offering in-home (and surrounding neighborhood) family sessions only, as I’ve found that kids are most comfortable and relaxed in their own surroundings. Whether your home is large or small, old or new, it’s full of memories, laughter, and the little details that make your family yours. Even if you don't think your home is "photogenic," I promise you it’s the perfect place to capture meaningful moments. These sessions are about more than just pretty photos—they are about documenting your family’s life as it is right now.
Years from now, when your children look back on these images, they’ll see not only their smiling faces but also the very essence of their childhood—the toys they cherished, the pajamas they wore, the rooms where they played, and the home that was their safe space. These photos are not just for you, but for them, creating a timeless record of what life looked like at this special stage.

This session is the perfect way to begin our relationship, allowing me to get to know your family and document your story authentically in the place that means the most to you.

Once we’ve worked together for your first session, I offer discounted rates for all future sessions. At just $600 per session, you’ll continue to receive:

FAQs
When does the shoot take place?
Most portrait shoots will take place on weekdays. The best light tends to happen in the two hours after sunrise and before sunset. Depending on what kind of look you are hoping to achieve — we will choose a time that works best. During the off season months I am more available on weekends.
How many photos will I get in my package?
I tend to deliver 60 photos at a minimum.
How long until I can see my photos?
Your photos will be available 6-8 weeks after the shoot. I have to send film photos to an outsourced lab and wait for the scans to edit. This takes time and I want to make sure they look perfect.
Do you deliver black and white images?
Yes! While there is no predicting what exact percentage of your photos will be in black and white — I can tell you that I use this method of editing for two purposeful reasons.
One — the colors and tones in the photo are distracting to the moment happening or unflattering to a person’s natural skin tone.
And two — if the image can have more impact by removing the color allowing you to focus on the subject. Almost always if there is an image delivered to you in black and white - there will be a similar one delivered in color.
How do I book my date with you?
When you book your session with me, you will send me a $50 deposit. This deposit holds your spot and is non-refundable. The remaining balance will be due the day of the shoot. You will also e-sign a contract as soon as I receive your verbal agreement.
What if I’m outside of West Michigan?
Will you travel to me?
In an attempt to be with my family more I will be primarily photographing my portrait sessions within an hour of the Grand Rapids area. If you live outside of that area and are still interested in me photographing your session we can discuss times that I may already be in your area for other wedding work. If you are able to find a few other friends interested in session near your area that is also a possibility.
